After reading over Christina's summaries (which were brilliant) I came across a quote I quite liked. When discussing the eternal and tabooed arguments of Politics and Religion, she quoted the quote "Without compassion all practices and beliefs are useless and empty".
Hmmmm.
This quote immediately made me think of a personal connection. I, and those who know me would agree, would never label myself as a deeply religious person (gasp). That point aside, I will happily attend church and have respect for those who thrive on it. I lack this internal impetus that others will define as compassion for my religious beliefs. Does that make my beliefs useless and empty?
